Officially Moved!

Greetings to those that follow my blogs and to those who are new to them. Since my last blog, I have been fully vaccinated and have packed up my bags to officially move to my new home: Omaha, Nebraska! I know in one of my last blogs I talked about giving Omaha a shot and looking at what I really wanted to do with my life. Well, now that I have given it some time to sink in, I have officially moved to Nebraska and become a Omahan, Omahaian? Haha Well, while I’m still trying to figure out the proper terms in this crazy state known mostly for its outpour of corn farming and recent growth in the brewing industry, I know that one thing is for sure and it’s that I have never been happier and felt more at home than I do now.

Things will definitely be different here than my life was in the California, but I am looking forward to a challenge as I’m good at adapting to change. Clearly now that I am formally living here in Omaha, my next goal will be looking for a job and medical insurance for my crazy hormone related medication and maybe even trying to  search for help with my chronic stomach issues. Another thing I’m looking for is a new hangout spot where I can totally veg out, listen to music and sketch. I think I may already have an idea though as when I was first here a couple months ago, my cousin introduced me to a fun coffee shop in downtown Benson called 402 Coffee, or Hardy’s Coffee. It has a fun hipster vibe that occasionally allows musical and standup artists to perform and show off their talent. Another fun place I have already begun to get familiar with is Homer’s Music and Record Shop in downtown Omaha which is filled with a bunch of classic music that I have slowly, but steadily started to add to my new record collection.

So far, what I love most about Omaha is it’s welcoming atmosphere and how here, I feel that I can totally be myself, hipster geek and all! I love how down to earth this place feels. There are Ma and Pa shops everywhere you look and they never fail at letting you know how communal Omaha can be. Now that I am here, I look forward to creating more art and expanding my Etsy store, but also focusing on my website and making it feel more like my own. Which reminds me, I just bought a new button press so I should get to designing some more fun badges and pins fro my Etsy. I will let you all go so, until my next blog, have an awesome week and I’ll catch up you all real soon! 😁
